Re-registration for Winter Semester 2025/2026 – Deadline: 31.08.2025

The re-registration period for the Winter Semester 2025/2026 runs from 09.06. to 31.08.2025. The semester fee is 308.60 € and consists of:

Koki Lübeck: Film Program June & July 2025 – Highlights and Premieres

The Municipal Cinema Lübeck (Koki) presents a diverse program of international films, premieres and special events in June and July 2025.

Films shown include "Archive of the Future", "Punching the World with Fists", "Caught by the Tides", "The Ugly Stepsister", "The Helsinki Effect", "The Party Continues!", "The Phoenician Masterstroke", "Cicadas", "Shadows of the Night", "One to One: John & Yoko", "East Prussia – Vanished World", "Becoming Led Zeppelin", "Fresh", "Loops Forward", "Hot Milk" and "The Spot".

Many films are shown in original version with subtitles (OmU) or in German version (DF). There are previews before nationwide release, collaborations with the Willy-Brandt-Haus and the Museum of Nature and Environment, as well as introductions by Dr. Susanne Füting.

Summer Break: The Koki is closed from July 14 to August 31, 2025. The new program starts on September 1.

In the current DVSM newsletter, musicology students will find numerous offers and information:

- Deadline for paper submissions for the Young Scholars Symposium in Vienna (Topic: "The Nature of Music") runs until 15.06.2025

- Symposium in Essen from 27 to 29.06.2025

- GfM Annual Conference in Weimar (06.–09.10.2025) with free student breakfast

- Two surveys for participation

- Numerous calls: PhD positions, student assistants, research positions and various prizes, scholarships and calls with deadlines between May and July 2025

Cello Course with Roger Morelló Ros in UNESCO World Heritage Middle Rhine Valley

This summer, Roger Morelló Ros will teach a cello course from July 17 to 21 at the Sankt Goar International Music Festival & Academy (Rhineland-Palatinate, UNESCO World Heritage Middle Rhine Valley).

The course is aimed at advanced young cellists (from about 12 years) and students who want to develop their playing further. There are three individual lessons, practice techniques, career counseling and a public final concert with piano accompaniment. The teaching languages are German, English, Spanish and Catalan. The course fee is 590 € including accommodation.

Free Program Accreditation Seminars for Students

The Student Accreditation Pool offers free online seminars on program accreditation for committed students.

The seminars take place on several weekends between May and September 2025 (30.05.–01.06., 04.07.–06.07., 18.07.–20.07., 01.08.–03.08., 22.08.–24.08., 05.09.–07.09.). Topics include quality management, student participation and reviewer activities. After successful participation, you can become active as a student reviewer and receive a certificate.

39th DVSM Young Scholars Symposium in Vienna – Deadline Extended to July 7, 2025

The deadline for paper submissions for the symposium "The Nature of Music" at the Austrian Academy of Sciences has been extended to July 7, 2025.

The symposium takes place from December 10 to 12, 2025. Further information and participation conditions can be found on the DVSM website.

Online Survey on Loneliness Among Students

As part of a master's thesis, an anonymous and voluntary online survey on the topic of loneliness among students is being conducted.

Participation takes about 20 minutes. The goal is to research and better understand stress factors and resources of students.

Free Webinars for MH Lübeck Students

ELEVEL offers free webinars on career-relevant topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Project Management and Finance.

Participation is free and will be confirmed with a certificate. The webinars take place in June and July 2025. An overview of dates and registration can be found on the ELEVEL website.

Composition Competition for Young Composers – Fagott e.V.

The Association for the Promotion of Bassoon Playing announces a composition competition for young composers up to 35 years of age.

The prize money is 1500 euros. Submission deadline and further details can be found on the association's website.

Invitation Climate-Action Camp Plant-Based Universities

Plant-Based Universities invites students to a free summer camp from August 15 to 19, 2025 in Hameln.

The goal is to jointly promote climate-friendly, plant-based university catering and network with other students from all over Europe. The camp offers workshops, lectures, exchange and plenty of inspiration. Participation is free, places are limited. Please share the link and flyer with other interested people!
